Swarna Jayanti Gram Self-Employment Scheme (Swagresooyo) is a major self-employment scheme implemented to assist families living below poverty line (Swarozgaris).

Swarna Jayanti Gram Self-Employment Scheme (Swagresooyo) is a major self-employment scheme implemented to assist families living below poverty line (Swarozgaris). It is organized into Self-Help Groups by adopting the process of social workflow, training and capacity building for self-employment families.The main objective of this scheme is to provide the below poverty line families with the help of the bank's financial assistance and government subsidy, to provide permanent income generating tools to the poverty line.

The total number of self-help groups set up in the state at the end of March 2012 is 267314 out of which 95170 self-help groups are in operation. During the period from 1999 to March 2012, the total amount of Rs. Out of the total funding of 197274.96 lakhs, 14,20,453 beneficiaries have been benefited, as well as a total of Rs. A loan of 384657.10 lakhs has been made.A total of 95170 self-help groups have started the business.Out of this, a total of Rs. 31528.40 lakhs grant has been distributed to 355297 scheduled castes self-employed. Similarly, 287638 Scheduled Tribes have been allocated Rs. 277934.11 lakhs.Under this program, a total of 73511 minorities, 1054625 women self-employed and 19427 beneficiaries were benefited.

National Rural Livelihood Campaign

The Central Government has decided to convert the Swarna Jayanti Gram Self-Employment Scheme into the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM).

The Central Government has decided to convert the Swarna Jayanti Gram Self-Employment Scheme into the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM). The Government has decided to implement Swarna Jayanti Gram Self-Employment Scheme in the form of National Rural Livelihoods Mission. This campaign is sponsored by the Center Government 75% and the State Government is 25%.

NRLP - The Central Government has decided to implement NRLP program from World Bank's loan assistance in 36 talukas of 10 districts of the state.

NRLM - This program will be implemented as Centrally Sponsored NRLM in the remaining talukas.

The purpose of the campaign

"By building strong institutions for the underlying poor, earning employment opportunities for the self-employed and skilled wages through the poor families and thereby reducing poverty, resulting in a significant improvement in their livelihood on a sustainable basis"

Features of Maharashtra State Rural Livelihoods Mission :

(1) Thane, (2) Ratnagiri, (3) Nandurbar, (4) Solapur, (5) Jalna, (6) Yavatmal, (7) Osmanabad, (8) Wardha, with the lowest human development index in the state. (9) Gadchiroli (10), Gondia will be selected in the first phase and 36 talukas, of the state will be implemented in the State Rural Livelihoods Mission. In the remaining talukas, this campaign will be implemented in the next phase.

Under this scheme, this scheme will be implemented as NRLP (intensive) for 36 talukas, in the following 10 districts.

For the year 2013-14, the Central Government has Rs. 224.32 crore for NRLM and Rs. 79.96 crore annual action plan has been approved. The central government's share in this is Rs. 168.24 crores and Rs. 59.97 crores, the share of State Government is Rs. 56.08 crores and Rs. 19.99 crores.

Skill training and pay scale employment special projects under National Rural Livelihood Mission

This special project is meant to provide employment to different organizations in the rural areas by increasing the efficiency of the underprivileged youth.

The Central Government has organized this program for the development of their skills in rural areas. In accordance with the guidelines of the Central Government, the special projects for skill development need to be prepared and sent to the Central Government.The Central Government's directive is that skill development and wage employment projects should be implemented through NGOs, CSOs, CBOs, SHG Federations, Panchayat Raj Institutions or other government organizations. The amount of funds received under this scheme is 75% central government share and 25% is part of state government. So far, 41,295 trainees have been trained under the special training program for skill development and wage employment.

Women's Farmer Empowerment Project under the National Rural Livelihood Mission

Center for Women Farmer Empowerment Guidelines has been prescribed under January 7, 2011.

The main aim of the scheme is to enhance the status of women in rural areas, to provide opportunities for women in rural areas to sustainable agriculture, to increase the skills and abilities of the women's agricultural and non-agricultural sector, and to contact these women government and other government organizations, Provide food and nutritional security at the community level.While doing this, develop their skills, enhance their management capacity, so that it will be used in the management of Biodiversity in agriculture.Projects implemented under NGOs, CSOs, CBOs, SHG Federations, Panchayat Raj Institutions or other government organizations are implemented under this scheme. The amount of funds received under this scheme is 75% central government share, 25% is part of state government and project implementation agency. Under the scheme, Bajrang Research Foundation, Beed and M. S. Swaminathan, Wardha are underway.
