National biogas and fertilizer management program
- The programme forms part of 20-Point Programme
- Implemented through Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), GoaI
- 100% centrally sponsored scheme
- Maintenance up to 5 years after the establishment by the concern organization
- The list of beneficiaries is available on the District website
- Objectives:-
- To provide fuel for cooking purposes and organic manure to rural households through family type biogas plants
- To mitigate drudgery of rural women, reduce pressure on forests and accentuate social benefits
- Biogas plants maintain toilet cleanliness and environmental cleanliness
- Distribution of district-wise targets from the government level on the basis of the guidelines set by the central government for the state
- Grants :-
- General Category : Rs. 9,000 / - per plant
- Scheduled Castes and Tribes : Rs. 11,000 / - per plant
- For toilet attached : Rs. 1,200 / - per plant
