Maha eGram is a digital platform of the Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Government of Maharashtra, which provides e-governance services to Gram Panchayats in rural areas. It aims to digitize, increase transparency and efficiency in the functioning of Gram Panchayats.
Unlike the Apale Sarkar portal, which provides extensive services including teacher transfers, Maha eGram is specifically centered around the village panchayat, including tax collection, certifications, and scheme applications.
Special category Part-1 (e.g., medical conditions, disability, widow) and Part-2 (spouse integration) applications for teachers are only made on the Aaple Sarkar portal, not on Maha eGram, and the service duration conditions (10 years general, 5 years in the current school) may be waived or relaxed.
