Revamped Rashtriy Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA)

In the year 2018–19, the Government of India implemented Rashtriy Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) by restructuring the Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Sashaktikaran Abhiyan, with a Central–State funding ratio of 60:40. During 2022–23, the scheme was revised and reintroduced as“Revamped Rashtriy Gram Swaraj Abhiyan”. The scheme is being implemented for the period from 01 April 2022 to 31 March 2026, with the same 60:40 sharing pattern. The Government Resolution for implementation of the Revamped RGSA was issued on 16 September 2022.

• Training and capacity building of elected representatives and PRI officers
• Development Plan training for Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti and Zilla Parishad
• Thematic training on Localization of Sustainable Development Goals (9 themes)
• Training in PESA areas and special assistance
• Training of Trainers (ToT)
• State and District Panchayat Resource Centres
• Project Management Units at State, District and Taluka levels
• IP-based Virtual Classrooms and Panchayat Learning Centers
• Study tours within and outside the State
• Innovative activities and IEC initiatives
