Self-Training Institutions (R-SETI) Regarding All Operations

As a solution to the problem of unemployment, the Central Government has established Rural Development and Self Employment Training Institute in 1982, jointly organized by Shri Dharmasthan Manjunathwar Education Trust, Syndicate Bank and Canara Bank. Accordingly, according to the Government Resolution dated June 19, 2008, it was decided to set up this institute in all the districts of the state.

It will be run by the Lead Banks in that district, for which the state government should provide at least one acre of land free of cost. The central government will provide Rs. 1 crore for the construction of this institute and other facilities. Till the land is available and construction is being started in the rented accommodation. R-SETI have been sanctioned in 33 districts of the state. Presently training has been started in the rented premises in this district. A total of 7875 trainees were trained in the year 2012-13.In this regard, the process for redressing the building and other similar items for R-SETI is underway.
