Environmental balanced prosperous village development scheme

Gramothathan campaign has been started to bring sustainable village development in the state on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee Year of the establishment of Maharashtra State.This development is expected by people's initiatives, in the financial, technical and administrative collaboration of the government in the three areas of Physical, Livelihood. This is a program for quality physical infrastructure.An important principle in sustainable rural development is that in order to create high-quality copies of the material at one place in the village, it should be considered beforehand that how natural resources can be used to maintain a sustainable environment.

Increasing the population of the day and the loss of natural resources is going down, so many topics like 'Global Warming' are being rooted. The need of the hour is to create an affluent and prosperous village by conserving, saving and protecting the environment, so the Government started the Environmental Balanced Village Scheme in the year 2010-11. The purpose of this scheme is to provide sustainable development of the village by maintaining ecological balance. The objectives of this scheme are as follows:

  • Develop people's resources for the development of natural resources available to maintain the ecological balance.
  • Ensuring environmental awareness, providing the facility of eco-village and building a rich village.
  • For the purpose of coordinating the plans of village level different schemes of various departments of the state government and implementing such schemes, new plans and programs need to be implemented, to implement the scheme, to initiate such programs /schemes by the Rural Development Department.
  • Developing large village council as development centers.
Works undertaken under the scheme

This scheme received by the government from the government, grants for nursery and tree conservation, management of solid waste in the village (primarily using collection and processing, using various biological and environment-friendly technologies), village waste management, drainage drainage, street lighting, solar street lights, non-renewable energy Development and use (wind, solar, Organic, etc.), Provide basic amenities to the construction of cremation ground and other necessary facilities for it, building the memory gardens, village boundaries under village council, and construction of gutters, parks and buses, Rajiv Gandhi Bharat Nirman Village Facilitation Center, other innovative projects for environmental-sustainable development etc.

The criteria for getting funds for the villages under this scheme is as follows:-

This scheme is being implemented on the village level through Gram Panchayat. Funds are funded under the scheme after the completion of the criteria after the inspection by the Gram Panchayats. In the initial three years, the following funding will be made available to the Gram Panchayats who meet the criteria of the scheme.

  • Gram panchayats with a population of more than 10,000 people - each for Rs.30 lakhs (10 lakhs per annum), each of the gram panchayats in the taluka headquarters - each has to pay Rs. 36 lakhs (12 lakhs per year)
  • Gram Panchayats with the population of 7001 to 10000 each - Rs. 24 lakh each (8 lakhs per annum)
  • Gram Panchayats with the population of 5001 to 7000 - each for Rs.15 lakhs (5 lakhs per annum)
  • Gram Panchayats with the population from 2001 to 5000 - each Rs.12 lakhs each (4 lakhs per annum)
  • Gram Panchayats of the population from 1001 to 2000 - Rs.9 lakhs each (3 lakhs per annum)
  • Gram Panchayats of up to 1000 population - each Rs.6 lakh each (2 lakh annually)

An important principle in sustainable rural development is that in the creation of high-quality copies of the material, at the same time, the natural resources of the village can be used to maintain the environmental balance of the environment, such as cottage, radio jingles, television commercials, newspaper advertisements, banners, hoardings etc. The government has succeeded in bringing the environment-balanced prosperous village scheme to the rural level using the tools.

The progress of the scheme

In the first year, out of the 27920 gram panchayats in the state, a total of 12193 gram panchayat have been eligible, and for the first year, Rs 389.89 crores have been provided for the population. The funds received from Gram Panchayat are used for sustainable development of the village. Enlightenment Training and Environment Village Public awareness tour of Gram Panchayat, selected in the environment-satisfied prosperous village scheme, has been completed in 101 villages in revenue collection. Regional level officers have been instructed to organize the Enlightenment Training and Environment Program at the departmental level and implement them properly, the representatives of the Gram Panchayat representatives selected in the environment-satisfied prosperous village scheme. With a view to understanding the importance of this scheme by taking all the hard work from school students to government officials, the total number of trees in the first year is 5.93 crores. In the second-year, 3.25 crore trees have been planted. In this third year, 5.92 million trees have been planted.

Out of 12193 Gram Panchayats eligible for the first year, 7424 Gram Panchayats have become eligible for the second-year Of the 27920 Gram Panchayats in the previous year, 2378 Gram Panchayats eligible for fulfilling the first year criteria in the second-year of the Gram Panchayats which have not been eligible for the first year have been eligible. In this way, 9,802-gram panchayats which completed the first and second-year criteria have been distributed to the Gram Panchayats as per the population of Gram Panchayats, who has been working in the environment-balanced prosperous village scheme, Rs. 30013.82 lakhs. Using the funds, the eligible village panchayats are planning on their level and they are spending development projects for village development.

In the year 2012-13, 1872 Gram panchayats which completed the first year criteria, 1866 fulfilling the second-year's criteria and 4174 completed third year criteria are eligible for 7912 gram panchayats. Accordingly, a total of Rs. 23408.58 lakhs will be distributed to the gram panchayats that meet the first year criteria, Rs. 6006.00 lakhs for the second-year, and Rs. 5282.30 lakhs for the gram panchayats which meet the criteria of the second-year and Rs. 12120.28 lakhs for the gram panchayats which meet the criteria of the third year.

Environmental Development gems

Rural Development Department, Government of Maharashtra launched the Environmental Balanced Village Scheme for all-inclusive development of the Environmental Supervision in the state. The 810 Gram Panchayats in the state have been awarded the criteria for the third year in the first year and have been awarded "Environment Development gems". It is evident that the rural people have tried to save the environment due to global warming and try to conserve them and develop rural and rural development. In 2012-13, 833-gram panchayats, all the criteria and innovative works of the scheme have been eligible for the Environment Award this year.
