Prime minister housing scheme- Gramin

Pradhanmantri Aawas Yojana- Gramin
  • Prime minister housing scheme is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme and is run independently from 1995-96.
  • The purpose of this scheme is to provide financial assistance for homeless people living under poverty line in rural areas.
  • The beneficiaries are selected by the Gram Panchayat. A permanent waiting list prepared by the Gram Panchayat is published on the notice board of the Gram Panchayat.
  • There are general terms like beneficiaries should be below the poverty line, their name should be on the waiting list and their own place for cottage construction. To avail the benefits of the scheme,
  • Family members who have not been included in the list and who are not listed in the permanent waiting list should contact Gram Panchayat and Gramsevak Group Development Officer of Panchayat Samiti.
  • According to the poverty line survey conducted in 2002, the beneficiaries have been selected by the beneficiaries from 2007-08 to 2014-15.
  • The beneficiaries will be selected for the next year 2015-16, based on the information of the Economic Social and OBC survey of 2011.
  • The beneficiaries are given financial assistance of Rs. 95,000 / - for cottage construction.
  • In addition to grants for grants, financial assistance is given in the form of incomplete sanction of 90/95 days under the Mahatma Gandhi National Employment Guarantee Scheme.
  • Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a separate fund is provided to the beneficiaries of the homes for the toilets.

  • Prime minister housing scheme - Rural Centrally Sponsored Scheme will be implemented from 2016-17.
  • Rs.1.20 lakhs will be given in the general area and Rs.1.30 lakhs per beneficiary for the naxal-affected area for the construction of the house.
  • Prime minister housing scheme- Through a bank account on the state-level basis of Rural Development, the PFMS system will be credited to the beneficiary's bank/post account.
  • Prime minister housing scheme- The information related to Rural Electoral and Economic Survey, 2011 will be used for the selection of beneficiaries.
  • Prime minister housing scheme- A national technical assistance society will be set up to provide technical support to the national level in rural areas.
  • In addition to grants for grants, the subsidy is given in the form of 90/95 days unskilled release under Mahatma Gandhi National Employment Guarantee Scheme.
  • Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a separate fund is provided to the beneficiaries of the homes for the toilets.
  • Pradhan Mantri Housing Scheme- State Management Room - Rural housing has been constituted for effective implementation of rural and other rural housing schemes.
